Kia to launch all new Carnival and EV9 Tomorrow

Kia India is set to unveil two premium models tomorrow, the new-generation Carnival MPV and the flagship EV9 electric SUV, both arriving in the market as completely built-up units (CBUs). These launches will mark a significant addition to Kia’s lineup in the country.

2024 Kia Carnival: Enhanced Features and Performance
The new-generation Kia Carnival is expected to be priced around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. While retaining its core engine, minor revisions to the output are anticipated.

The Carnival will feature dual sunroofs, powered second-row doors, an 18-way power adjustable driver’s seat, a powered tailgate, and Level 2 ADAS technology. Additional features include 18-inch alloy wheels and LED lighting. Kia also plans to offer the Carnival as a CKD (completely knocked down) model by mid-2025.

Kia EV9: A New Electric Flagship
Kia will also introduce the EV9 electric SUV, expected to be priced above Rs 1 crore (ex-showroom). It will come with a 99.8kWh battery pack, dual electric motors producing 380bhp and 700Nm of torque, and a claimed range of 561km on a full charge.

Measuring over 5 meters in length, the EV9 will offer three-row seating and advanced features, including Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities. The EV9 will compete with luxury electric SUVs in the Indian market.

With these launches, Kia is broadening its presence in the MPV and electric vehicle segments in India, offering a range of new features and technologies.
