Mitsubishi has released the first public photos of its upcoming compact SUV. It will be shown for the first time to the public on August 10, 2023, at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). The SUV is based on the ‘Silky & Solid’ idea, which combines beauty and toughness to make it stand out in ASEAN towns and in the countryside.
The concept retains its creased sides, strong rear haunches, floating roof, T-shaped taillights, and chiselled tailgate, while omitting the hexagonal light rings in the lower apron. The lighting units flank a front grille with dashed chrome lines.
It is 4,390mm long, 1,810mm wide, and 1,660mm tall, which makes it bigger than both the Honda HR-V and the Mazda CX-30.
The daytime running lights on the front of the Dynamic Shield are in the shape of a T, which makes them easy to spot. The SUV will have top-of-the-line ground clearance of 222mm and 18-inch wheels with big tires to help it handle better on the road. It will have a 1.5-liter engine and Active Yaw Control (AYC). It will have four drive modes.
